Slayer’s Canadian Carnage tour has been postponed.
The California band had planned to kick off the tour on November 8 with fellow metal-heads Megadeth when they hit an unexpected turn of events. Bassist and singer Tom Araya has to undergo back surgery. They were also set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 4.
On their MySpace blog, the band wrote that Araya’s injury is thought to be related to onstage activity. They also say that the “most important thing is Tom’s health.”
Slayer is promoting their new album, World Painted Blood, which comes out today.
