Despite having seven weeks and several more major releases left in the year, Amazon.com announced their best of 2009 lists Thursday.
Neko Case’s Middle Cyclone topped the top 100 albums list, U2’s No Line on the Horizon led the customer favorites, and Phoenix’s “Lisztomania” was named top song of 2009.
The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s It’s Blitz! and Phoenix’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix came in behind Case on the editor’s picks list, reports Rolling Stone. The customer favorites list, comprised solely of best sellers, includes Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream and Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment, despite not even being released yet.
The editior’s picks also include Jay-Z’s huge hit The Blueprint 3, WIlco’s WIlco (The Album), and Muse’s The Resistance.
The year’s upcoming releases not on the lists include albums from big hitters like Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and 50 Cent, and Clipse.
