Johnny Depp rated 'Sexiest Man Alive'

Johnny Depp was chosen as People’s Sexist Man Alive for 2009.
Depp was also chosen in 2003, and is the one of the few along with Brad Pitt and George Clooney to be chosen twice by People’s magazine as the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ of the year.
“Johnny Depp has magical powers. He’s unlike anyone else. He’s funny, generous and clever. It’s just a shame he’s so hard on the eyes,” actress Isla Fisher told People in the recent issue.
People was going to choose Robert Pattinson, star of “Twlight”, for the sexiest man, instead they chose Depp, said Julie Jordan, editor of the magazine.
People has annually rated the Sexiest Man Alive since 1985, when Mel Gibson was rated, with the exclusion of 1994 when no one was chosen. And in 1993, for the first time ever, People chose Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford as the ‘Sexist Couple Alive’, but since then it went back to men only.
