Members of Emo Scene Join New Metal Band

Members of Fall Out Boy, Every Time I Die, and Anthrax have come together to form a new metal super group, reports Rolling Stone, and are calling themselves the Damned Things.
The new band consists of Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley from Fall Out Boy, Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano from Anthrax, Keith Buckley from Every Time I Die, and bassist David Karon. Scott Ian described the band to Rolling Stone as “Kyuss meeting Thin Lizzy.” The Damned Things have already written and demoed 15 songs, and hope to start recording in December.
The expected metal sound of the Damned Things is on the complete opposite end of the musical spectrum for the two members of Fall Out Boy, but Ian assures Rolling Stone that they’re “hardcore dudes.”
The news comes soon after Fall Out Boy announced that they were on a “break” from being Fall Out Boy.
